Position Description: Qualitative methods expertise: PhD research staff scientist or research-track faculty positions, TBD per qualifications and career trajectory.

We seek to expand our Qualitative Research Core (QRC)— an established scientific team (PhD, MPH, MA/MS) that conducts research studies in healthcare delivery, implementation science, and program evaluation in diverse settings. Led by Associate Professor, Simon Craddock Lee, PhD MPH, the QRC collaborates with a highly collegial group of faculty investigators, physician scientists, and cadre of professional research staff to conduct inter- disciplinary team science, emphasizing mixed- methods intervention studies in minority and underserved communities across the care continuum, in multiple disease conditions, including but not limited to cancer prevention, control and survivorship. We have a robust program of research in urban Dallas County, with a growing portfolio of research activities across a 35-county rural and underserved region of North Texas.

This is a research-funded position, executing multiple, mainly peer-reviewed protocols, conducting qualitative data collection and analysis, including scientific writing for publication. Qualifications: Competitive Applicants will have • PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in public health OR an applied health research- focused social science with explicit expertise in multiple qualitative methods; • Bilingual English/Spanish language is an advantage, but is not required; • Working knowledge of Nvivo and/or other qualitative analytic software; • US citizen or permanent residency at the time of application.
