Position Description: The T32 Training Program in CVD Epidemiology & Related Chronic Diseases in Minority Populations at the UIC Institute for Minority Health Research is now accepting applications for its post- doctoral training positions. This program seeks to recruit and rigorously train qualified and motivated trainees in epidemiologic research on cardiovascular diseases and related chronic diseases in minority populations. Training will encompass required and elective didactic experiences (including formal coursework if necessary) selected to meet each trainee’s specific needs, as well as rigorous mentored research experience under close supervision of at least 2 senior mentors as well as a junior mentor. Postdoctoral applicants must have received their doctoral degree (MD or PhD) by the time of appointment. PhD applicants should have a doctoral degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, community health sciences, nutrition, or another relevant health- related field. All candidates must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States at the time of their appointment. Fellows are typically appointed for two years and are provided a stipend as stipulated by the NIH.
