Position Description: Under the direct supervision of the Surveillance Epidemiology Program Manager in the Infectious Disease Surveillance Section, the Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) Surveillance Coordinator will conduct surveillance for vaccine-preventable diseases and analyze and interpret statewide surveillance data, policies and procedures for use in planning disease prevention activities and interventions.

Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in epidemiology, biostatistics, or related biological science. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year required work experience.

Experience: Four years' professional or paraprofessional experience in a health- related field with responsibility for program implementation, direct service delivery, planning or program evaluation. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid New Hampshire driver's license or access to transportation for statewide travel required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree preferred. Knowledge in the areas of epidemiology and statistics, vaccine recommendations, and computer applications preferred.
