Position Description: a core resource for translational research to advance knowledge about prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of disease and will impact the health of Kaiser Permanente members and the communities we serve.

As the Quality Systems and Sample Acquisition Lead, you will play a key role in the overall quality components as well as sample acquisition areas of the KPRB. You will oversee the ISO Certification and CAP Accreditation for the Biorepository as well as be responsible for the KPRB QA Program. You will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the processes for sample acquisition from all Kaiser Permanente regions, including processes relating to lab orders via KP HealthConnect, samples via Cerner/Sunquest and sample transport to the Biorepository. Other duties include advising KP HealthConnect/Cerner/Sunquest interactions with LIMS. In addition, you will be the SME for Kaiser Permanente Clinical Lab operations and workflows from all Kaiser Permanente regions as it relates to KPRB.

Qualifications: • At least five years of experience in the field of expertise required by the department • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, operations research, public health, health administration, other related field, or four years of experience in a directly related field with a high school diploma or GED • Demonstrated expertise in a field relevant to the work of the department • Demonstrated ability to determine the key business issues and develop appropriate action plans from multidisciplinary perspectives • The ability to lead professionals through influence and collaboration. Knowledge of computer applications and knowledge of data systems • Proven leadership skills in a matrix management environment that includes influencing, efficiency, collaboration, candor, and openness with a focus on results orientation • The ability to work with various partners including Medical Group and/or Labor Partners • An understanding and general knowledge of the health care industry and health policy trends • The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
