Position Description: Team Overview The Boston-based Monitoring, Evaluation & Quality (MEQ) team works to strengthen monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and quality improvement (QI) activities across PIH, including provision of on-site and remote technical assistance to in-country MEQ teams, increasing capacity through mentoring and training in data quality assurance, analysis, and utilization. The Boston team also helps with the development and implementation of electronic data systems, in close collaboration with the Medical Informatics and Clinical teams. Boston MEQ is responsible for building sustainable systems for data sharing and use within and across teams, to support data-driven program management and effective fundraising, grant writing, and communications in the increasingly data- oriented global health landscape. Position Overview This position will provide administrative and technical support for development of health management Information Systems deployed across PIH sites, managing documentation to maximize feedback for program improvement and dissemination. A key focus of this position will be supporting the implementation and documentation of organization-wide health management information systems and tools that help improve data utilization among PIH stakeholders. Reporting to the Director of MEQ and working closely alongside MEQ Data Analysts, the analyst will work to improve data reporting and collection processes by systematizing workflows. The analyst will also automate many processes using their knowledge of scripting languages to improve data scraping from historical Excel/Word reports and push data to the Clinical Information Systems Data Warehouse. They will also work closely with the Medical Informatics team to build out the data warehousing capabilities of clinical operations at PIH. Finally, they will facilitate the configuration and design of data systems and dashboards to help decision makers quickly digest and understand important performance indicators. The analyst must have a strong and demonstrated technical aptitude and a passion for health equity. Primary Responsibilities Process Analysis & System Configuration Support (40%) Map data flows and create technical specifications for DHIS2 and mHealth systems Support mHealth application development projects Assist in the creation and configuration of new forms and reports in DHIS2 Advise site based teams on feasible indicators that can be collected on a routine basis Automation and Efficiency Improvement (30%) Scripting data import processes from legacy data collection systems Automating data processing functions to clean and load data into data warehouse and/or DHIS2 systems System Implementation Support (20%) Create training materials for clinical information systems and document key processes for system use (OpenMRS, DHIS2, CommCare, MedicMobile) Work closely with MEQ Data Analysts and field staff to design operational procedures and intuitive user experiences for systems in use Develop close relationships with site- based counterparts to help foster adoption of new systems Data Analysis & Visualization (10%) Production of data visualization tools and data presentations to help decision makers quickly digest data and draw appropriate conclusions

Qualifications: Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, public health, mathematics, economics, or related field 2-4 years of relevant work experience Strong computer skills (MS Office applications, including Excel, Access, SharePoint) Experience with a scripting language such as R, Python, or JavaScript Familiarity with a Linux operating system environment preferred Willingness to travel (10-15% of the year) Experience with mobile data collection applications and/or DHIS2 preferred Cross-cultural experience living and/or working in a different culture preferred Interest in social justice strongly desirable Working proficiency in French and/or Haitian Creole strongly desired
