Position Description: This position will provide support for clinical quality assurance, workforce development, and will serve as liaison with other nursing organizations, and Division Leadership. Incumbent will work with Regional Directors, Bureau Chiefs and will provide leadership to the eight Directors of Nursing assigned to each region, assuring excellence in nursing services provide in the fifty-three (53) public health offices. The incumbent will work closely with the Medical Director and Pharmacist to ensure quality in all aspects of clinical care provided. This position will guide clinical nursing staff towards a broader community health nursing role.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications are a current license as a Registered Nurse or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico re requirements issued by the New Mexico Board of of Nursing and eight (8) years of pr professional level experience.

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certification from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Successful completion of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) course within 10 days of employment.

The health care system is strengthened through Department activities including contracted Primary and Rural Health care services, school-based health centers, Emergency Medical Services, Scientific Laboratory services, Vital Records and Health Statistics.
