Position Description: Applications are invited for three full- time Assistant Member (equivalent to Assistant Professor) of Epidemiology positions in the Center for Outcomes Research (COR) at JPS Health Network. The COR comprises a collaborative group of epidemiologists and biostatisticians involved in outcomes research pertaining to socioeconomically disadvantaged populations. Topical areas of interest include cancer, HIV, hepatitis C virus, and maternal and perinatal health.

This institutionally-funded faculty position offers a unique opportunity to pursue research for a population that faces considerable health inequities and is under-represented in research. In addition to having access to patient populations for primary data collection, available sources for secondary data analysis include institutional disease registries and extensive electronic medical records. The Assistant Member position is expected to develop an independent research program, generate publications, and obtain external funding as needed.

Qualifications: Applicants are required to have doctoral training (PhD, DrPH, ScD) in epidemiology and must be a United States citizen or permanent resident. The anticipated start date is January 2018, but the start date is negotiable.
