Position Description: Amador County Public Health Department is currently seeking a Health Educator I. Under direction, plans, organizes, coordinates and implements public health education programs; provides administrative services including grant writing, budget development and monitoring for public health education programs; and performs related work as required.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have two (2) years paid experience in providing health education services; and Graduation from an accredited college or university with a four-year Bachelor’s degree in public or community health education; or A Master’s Degree in public health from an accredited program in an appropriate discipline such as community or public health, public policy, or a closely related field. Substitution: One additional year of experience of the type noted above may be substituted for the required specific Bachelor’s degree. An additional year of experience of the type noted above may be substituted for one year of the bachelor’s degree, up to a maximum of two years.
