Position Description: The Planning and Evaluation Manager will be responsible for Coordinating the Gwinnett Coalitions’ strategic planning and evaluation efforts and all relevant community collaborative initiatives including, but not limited to, data collection; completion of community assessments through gathering, analyzing, and disseminating primary and secondary data; overseeing, coordinating, and supporting implementation of goals, strategies, and activities identified through key focus areas; serve as key representative at strategy meetings, networking events, and participate in grant seeking and grant writing opportunities to support the Coalition and community initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional oral and written communications skills and technology aptitude including Power Point/Prezi presentation programs Ability to give community presentations – public speaking skills a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially excel/access programming, social media, and web tools for research, communication, and event management. Familiarity with database management is a plus. Experience with SPSS and other statistical software preferred. Familiarity with the Gwinnett community a plus Ability to work and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds Demonstrated planning and evaluation skills Ability and willingness to work both independently and in a team environment Strong in areas of creativity, innovation, organization, resourcefulness, and leadership Ability to manage production of audiovisual and print collateral material Ability to work in a high-paced environment managing multiple projects and deadlines Passion for the mission Accurate record keeping Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor Spanish speaking in both written and oral communications a plus

Essential Functions: Support the completion of Community & Youth Health Assessments; Maintain a system of tracking evaluation outcomes as related to the 5-year strategic plan and annual operating plans with appropriate coalition committees, members and staff Oversee the development of evaluation tools and measurement such as the comprehensive youth health survey, the community survey, and other assessments used to collect on-going data. Facilitate strategic committees and initiatives for the purpose of monitoring plan progress and outcomes. Participate in grant seeking and grant writing opportunities to support the Coalition and community initiatives. * Assist in development and production of print communication, including newsletters and annual report. Provide monthly reports on progress/outcomes at board meetings and responsible for annual evaluation report. Represent the Coalition in the community through networking, meetings, presentations, and events. Provide Staff support to other Coalition programs such as the Helpline, the Gwinnett Great Days of Service, The Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership Institute and other initiatives as requested by the associate director. Maintain required job skills and core professional competencies.

General Responsibilities: Keeps supervisor informed of project progress and problems, particularly to needed changes in schedule or resources, etc. Attend and participate in required training, events and staff meetings. Keeps abreast and current with latest trends, best practices, and evaluation tools and resources that impact health and human services globally.

Additional Responsibilities: Prepare reports and correspondence requested by supervisor where information must be obtained from a variety of sources Compiles data from varied sources and makes summary reports as required. May involve routine mathematical calculations and tabulations in accordance with established methods. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health; Social Work; Human Services or similar field * 2 or more years experience planning and evaluation
