Position Description: This new position reports directly to the Director/Health Officer and primary duties include: • Providing leadership to assure high achieving programs and services including program and policy development and process and outcome evaluation. • Assuring effective and efficient management of our five population health services divisions including the management of budget and staff. • Providing leadership in community collaboration. • Promoting community health policy development to improve health. • Assuring communication on key community health and organizational issues. • Providing leadership for response to public health threats and emergencies. • Ensuring completion of Division policy development, strategic planning, quality improvement, and performance management activities. • Enforcing local codes as needed.

Qualifications: Your minimum qualifications must include: 1. Master's degree in public health, nursing, environmental health, community health, or a related field from an accredited college or university. 2. Five years progressively responsible experience, including two in a supervisory or administrative capacity, in public health, community health, environmental health, or related setting. 3. Knowledge and abilities in the science and practice of public health. 4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The Health Department provides a full range of programs and services for a population of approximately 100,000 in beautiful western Wisconsin. This position is responsible for leadership and management of the Divisions related to Communicable Disease Prevention/Control, Environmental Inspection, Health Protection/Lab, Community Health Promotion and Healthy Beginnings.
