The Snohomish Health District is currently acce accepting applicants for a Full Time Disease Inte Intervention Specialist (DIS) in its STD and HIV HIV program. The incumbent is responsible for for sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and HIV HIV counseling, testing and referral (CTR) for for identified populations as well as case foll follow up and partner contact investigations for for HIV and STD. Incumbent collaborates with inte internal, other local health jurisdiction and and state STD/HIV staff to coordinate case inve investigations. Incumbent collaborates with comm community healthcare providers to provide cons consultation and education regarding STD/HIV test testing, disease protocols, and reporting.

Work is performed under limited supervision re requiring independent judgment and di discretion. Work is evaluated for technical so soundness, feasibility, and conformity to pr protocols, practice and policy.

Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS •A Bachelor Degree in a health related field s such as biology, microbiology, chemistry, c counseling, psychology, behavioral science, p public health, social science, health e education or nursing. •One year experience working in STD or HIV p program or other closely related program. •Phlebotomist Certification or ability to successfully complete alternative on venipuncture training on the job within six months will be substituted for a valid nursing license to perform venipuncture in Washington State.

dependents if elected at a cost (prorated for for Part Time). Participation with the Dep Department of Retirement Systems retirement (PE (PERS) is mandatory. Annual leave is earned at at the rate of 12 days per year (prorated for for Part Time) during the first year and inc increases with the length of service; sick lea leave is earned at the rate of 12 days per yea year (prorated for Part Time); 10 paid hol holidays per year plus 2 personal holidays (pr (prorated for Part Time).
