Position Description: The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s healthcare, has an exciting position within our Division of Innovation to manage the implementation of Project ECHO (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) Zika telehealth clinics. This individual will serve as staff for related Advisory Committee and ECHO Zika hub faculty, provide technical assistance, project support and consultation to pediatricians and other health professionals regarding the operationalization and promotion of ECHO within identified centers.

Some job duties include: 1. Manage Project ECHO Zika, including development, coordination and implementation of program activities; chapter involvement; site recruitment; meeting planning; report writing and preparation of meeting minutes and conference call notes. Maintain spreadsheet to track program activities. 2. Staff related Advisory Committee, including scheduling conference calls, facilitating calls, and preparation of meeting minutes. 3. Support activities to advance program objectives and deliverables to ensure that grant requirements are being met and adherences to federal regulations, including developing and executing sub awards, financial and progress reports. 4. Coordinate and participate in the development and review of program materials and promotional materials. 5. Work with the University of New Mexico ECHO Institute to plan and implement process and outcome evaluation, and coordinate the analysis and dissemination of results. 6. Respond to inquiries and correspondence from program collaborators, AAP fellows and other physicians, allied health professionals, governmental agencies, higher education institutions, and other organizations regarding program activities. 7. Manage the Project ECHO hub faculty contracts and all other invoices associated with the project. 8. Prepare program funding reports, cooperative agreement continuation materials, and other written materials to provide updates on the status of projects and activities.

Qualifications: Qualifications include:

1. Bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration, public administration, health policy, education or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. 2. Two to three years experience in related program coordination/management required, including budget management; preferably in a medical association, state public health agency, or national advocacy organization. 3. Public health planning and administration, Webinars, Internet, and telemedicine technology experience highly desirable. Grants management experience a plus. 4. Strong technical acumen essential, including proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel) and database management; experience with SharePoint a plus. 5. Fluency in English and Spanish, both oral and written, preferred.
