Our Social & Analytical Solutions Group is seeking a Manager to provide management, technical content, and business development expertise to PEPFAR projects in our global health portfolio.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of projects, be responsible for financial management, serve as the primary point of contact for clients, and lead or substantially contribute to business development for the public health line of business. The candidate will have experience leading project teams from development to completion as well as demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.

Successful candidates will have knowledge about federal Open Data policies and experience: preparing data and documentation for open access; understanding quality control procedures used to transform federally funded research data to be publically available; developing data management plans; conducting literature searches, synthesizing information into reports, and writing recommendations and guidance; and managing diverse teams. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in global health (PEPFAR preferred).

This is a full-time position located in Atlanta, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities: • Assist our client in implementing open data policies in a federal system utilizing information from the current open data landscape, including but not limited to: federal policies, existing standards and recommendations to make data available, types of release options, open data organizations, data hosting platforms, QA/QC procedures to transform different types of data to be publically available, & data security issues • Possess familiarity of national and international open data portals and domestic and global efforts to increase the availability of data, including potential real and/or perceived sensitivities around releasing data • Understand scientific research: protocol development and review processes, instrument development, data collection, data management, data analysis, outcomes measurements • Lead development of guidance documents and recommendations for implementation of open data processes • Translate technical information into plain language • Synthesize findings into written reports • Work with senior leadership to shape strategy for implementing open data activities • Ensure that all projects and tasks are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget • Manage the day-to-day work associated with the projects and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. • Participate in supervising, mentoring, and development of junior staff.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: • Graduate degree in public health or related fields (PhD preferred) • 5+ years of recent experience in PEPFAR • 7+ years of experience in project management • 2+ years of experience with open data activities • Experience facilitating high-level meetings • Experience working with federal clients • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a diverse team and • Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience with written and oral presentation of data and reports. • Excellent organizational skills • Detail-oriented, organized, fast learner, meticulous, and able to work at a fact-pace with tight deadlines.
