Position Description: A post-doctoral fellowship is available starting Summer/Fall, 2017 at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health with Dr. Jennifer Albrecht. The fellowship will provide advanced training and experience in pharmacoepidemiology/health services research to prepare fellows for positions in academia, government, or private industry. Fellows would have the opportunity to conduct research on incidence and treatment of neuropsychiatric sequelae of traumatic brain injury or health care costs and utilization associated with treatment of sleep disorders. Training includes mentored research, grant-writing, and teaching experiences. It may also include coursework in advanced epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, and patient centered outcomes research.

Qualifications: This position requires knowledge of SAS or STATA and strong skills in manuscript preparation. Those with a PhD, ScD, or DrPH in epidemiology, health policy, social sciences, or health services research are strongly encouraged to apply. Those with a clinical degree with research training would also be considered. Excellent communication, organizational, inter- personal, and time-management skills are a must.
