Position Description: The goal of this internship is to engage in effective lobbying for global health programs with your U.S. Senator or Representative for those with representatives on the Foreign Operations Subcommittee of Appropriations. The internship time commitment is approximately 10-15 hours a week for 4 months, working remotely from your location. Since an advocacy campaign typically takes longer than 4 months, we encourage, but don’t require, you to continue beyond 4 months. Key objectives: • Target communication about the importance of funding global health (tuberculosis, Gavi, and maternal and child health) to federal representatives • Build relationships with congressmen, senators, and their respective staff • Seek partner organizations to assist with ongoing advocacy efforts • Create content to promote the work of FFGH on social media and traditional media outlets Key Representatives: http://appropriations.house.gov/about/members/stateforeigno ps.htm https://www.appropriations.senate.gov/subcommittees/state- foreign-operations-and-related-programs

Qualifications: Passion for global health, willingness to learn, familiarity with social media and digital health

We focus particularly on innovation in rural health care and on advocacy for road safety. We are also working on supporting initiatives regarding maternal & child health, tuberculosis, and vaccine access
