Position Description: BA should be able to develop analysis-level models of Immunization Information Systems (IIS) operations and processes that capture and document agreed upon consensus-based be best practices for IIS. Such models would fo form a knowledge base for IIS operations im improvement, supporting alignment of IIS pr processes along the common for all awardees gu guideline. Additionally, these models would pr provide a basis for IT requirements, ed educational and training activities. Models to to be developed: Decision Models, including bu business rules, Domain models, Process mo models, Event/state models. BA must have the ability to perform the f following tasks: Capture recommendations in modern analysis instruments, such as business rules, domain/concept models, process models (operational scenarios and process maps), event/state models, and other modeling instruments, including industry-standard Un Unified Modeling Language (UML). Analyze IIS current operational practices a and formulate recommended best practices t through group sessions and interviews with I IIS stakeholders, teleconferences, reviews o of IIS materials, and site visits. Organize and facilitate collaborative group efforts among IIS stakeholders to develop consensus-based operational recommendations for IIS. This also includes management, coordination, and support type activities, such as logistics for conference calls and in-person meetings, discussions recording and notes-taking, coordination of p participants schedules, and development p process facilitation and management. Conduct a vetting and review of analysis results with project’s collaborators and c contributors, as well as within wide i immunization registration community of p practice. Develop operational best practice guidelines reflecting outcomes of the collaborative consensus-building analysis process among IIS IIS stakeholders and feedback from reviews in in the IIS community of practice. Present analysis results at meetings, co conferences, as well as at various forums Develop and disseminate written materials, s such as papers and presentations on methods, p process, and outcomes of the analysis p process, requirements and best practice r recommendations for IIS. Utilize standard analysis and modeling software applications, such as MS Visio and others (for example, IBM-Rational Rose). Eval Evaluate need and formulate requirements for acqu acquiring specialized analysis and modeling soft software applications. Work with staff, contractors, state par partners, and national partners such as the Ame American Immunization Registry Association (AI (AIRA) to review and make specific rec recommendations for requirements, models, and and architectural documents involved in the imm immunization programs and projects, e.g., Vac Vaccine for Children (VFC) program.

Provide training, educational and technical a assistance for IIS stakeholders on a analysis/models interpretations, i implementation, and evaluation which may i include state IIS process improvement and a analyzing state IIS operations aspects.

Qualifications: BA Certification from the International Insti Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or Proje Project Management Institute (PMI) is prefe preferred, but no required.
