Position Description: The Microbiome and Preterm Birth Research St Study of Emory University is investigating th the relationship between the microbiome of Af African American women and their risk of pr preterm birth and to explore factors that sh shape the structure and dynamics of the mi microbiome over the course of pregnancy.

Qualifications: The student will join a dynamic interprofessional team performing groundbreaking research on the biobehavioral determinants that govern the structure of the microbiome of African American women, and the association between the microbiome and preterm birth. The student will operate as a Research Assistant: Primary duties will consist of transporting time-sensitive biological research samples from clinical sites (Grady Memorial Hospital, Emory Midtown Hospital) to Emory main campus laboratories, assemblage of research packets & materials, data entry and some data cleaning, and attendance of research team meetings. The student MUST have their own reliable car and on-campus parking.
