Position Description: JOB DESCRIPTION: Under limited supervision, uses a basic knowledge of public health principles to analyze, develop, implement, and promote new and creative strategies and solutions to address public health issues and challenges. Addresses public health issues by providing education, technical assistance, advocacy, public awareness, and research. Works with programs or studies designed to evaluate the prevalence or surveillance of public health issues and the effectiveness of targeted interventions. May provide technical assistance to organizations to include presentations, web-based resources, strategies, and educational forums to address specific public health issues. May work with clinical study sites on patient recruitment and data collection standards. Assists with data collection and data analysis. Contributes to proposals, protocols, data analysis plans, reports, manuscripts, and presentation of study findings. May assist in designing, developing, and conducting targeted training initiatives. May collaborate with external organizations to develop action plans and goals to achieve specific objectives. Performs related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A master's degree in public health, a master's of science degree in public health or health education, or a master's in development practice from an accredited school.

Qualifications: An MPH in epidemiology, behavioral sciences, global health, or another discipline that involved training on quantitative public health research and data analyses. New MPH graduates are eligible and encouraged to apply. The applicant must demonstrate good professional communication skills.

Desirable previous work experiences include: HIV prevention research; quantitative research data collection; NIH- or CDCsupported research studies, especially among men who have sex with men.

Organization Description: This posting represents a collection of opportunities with PRISM Health (, a large and diverse research team that focuses on sexual minority health. We are seeking up to 3 qualified candidates to coordinate/manage public health research studies conducted by our team.

The specific research subjects may vary but all include components of recruiting, managing and retaining a diverse pool of research participants using technology- based solutions such as online advertising, web-based surveying and mobile applications. The PRISM Health team most commonly conducts these types of HIV- related research studies with gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men in the United States. Project coordinators/managers are expected to act as part of the research team and assist in implementing all research activities, including protocol/materials creation, multi-site data collection, analyses, and report/manuscript writing. Most studies will involve working with external research collaborators at other academic institutions and federal agencies.
