Position Description: JOB DESCRIPTION: Creates and maintains a data dictionary and meta data. Supports efforts to ensure that data standards are developed and maintained. Ensures that the uses of data through reports and queries are accurate. Supports business and system re-engineering and architecture development to define future data needs. Serves as an organizational consultant on matters relating to databases by providing expertise to assist users in meeting their needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of experience in processes and standards related to data OR a bachelor's degree.

Qualifications: Demonstrated past experience using SAS and/or R for analysis of complex public health survey or administrative datasets, utilizing SAS programming for data management and reporting, including ODS, PROC REPORT, and the macro facilities, and building responsive CASI web-based questionnaires, using platforms such as SurveyGizmo or Qualtrix

Organization Description: This position will support PRISM Health, a research team that focuses on sexual minority health, consisting of 8 faculty members and over 35 staff within the Department of Epidemiology and Emory Center for AIDS Research. We are seeking multiple candidates with a variety of quantitative skillsets to support a CDC-funded Cooperative Agreement focused on infectious disease modeling and NIH- and CDC-supported clinical trials of mobile health interventions for men who have sex with men.

An appreciation for detail and love for analyzing and maintaining high-quality data is required. The primary focus of this position will be to support the development of scientific models, including conceptualization, model parameter estimation, model building, and writing, in collaboration with a number of local and national partners, including state-level end-users. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable and excited about these issues, including an understanding of national- and state-level programming structures, very creative, and have a high degree of analytical and technical savvy.

This position is in support of a newly- funded, 5-year Cooperative Agreement through the CDC, though funding availability will be re-assessed annually.
