Position Description: The Academy seeks a Program Coordinator, The Academy Collaboratives and Research.

Job Summary:

The Program Coordinator works actively on the development and coordination of The Academy Collaboratives (Pop. Health, Big Data, Cybersecurity, & MACRA Collaboratives), Research programs, Advisory services, and Health Policy activities, spending approximately 85% of the time executing duties for The Academy Collaboratives and 15% of the time fulfilling Research programs, Advisory services, and Health Policy responsibilities. The Program Coordinator is responsible in assisting with the development of collaborative and other program materials and related content targeted for participants and members. The Program Coordinator also assists in the scheduling and planning of meetings. The Program Coordinator will develop an understanding among Academy members and Institute participants in relevant topic areas through literature reviews and targeted research projects.

The Program Coordinator will solidify and expand relationships with Academy members and participating Collaborative members. The Program Coordinator will interact with Academy members, collaborative participants, sponsoring member executives, health care thought leaders and industry participant experts to coordinate meetings and develop material pertinent to the execution of the collaborative and learning services programs. The Program Coordinator will also assist the Relationship Team in recruiting Academy members into future Collaboratives.

The Program Coordinator will also work with leadership of The Academy’s other services on identifying and shaping appropriate programs for each respective service line based upon insights gathered from members and other industry thought leaders. The Program Coordinator will develop agendas, working closely with Meeting Services on coordinating logistics to ensure a world- class experience for all Academy members. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will assist with writing and publishing activities to disseminate research and survey results.

Goals and Objectives: • Develop program material and related content for collaborative members, research programs, advisory services, and health policy; • Develop an expertise in relevant areas through literature reviews and targeted research projects, as assigned; • Engage, solidify and expand relationships between members of The Academy and Collaboratives; • Assist the Relationship Team in recruitment efforts of future Collaboratives; • Assist in the completion of data analysis and reporting; • Assist with writing and publishing activities to disseminate research and survey results to Academy members; • Assist in the scheduling and planning of meetings; • Collaborate across departments to share ideas and insights on industry thought leadership.

Essential Functions:

The Academy Collaboratives (Pop. Health, Big Data, Cybersecurity, MACRA Collaboratives) • Conduct research and literature reviews on current and potential collaborative topics to assist The Academy in establishing an expertise on industry developments and trends; • Provide support to The Academy Collaboratives Executive Director and Associate Vice President of Technology Forums, including scheduling conference calls with multiple participants, setting up meetings and prioritizing meeting requests; • Engage with members, collaborative participants, industry thought leaders and The Academy team to assist in content and program material development for Collaborative meetings, site visits, and reports for numerous Collaboratives; • Coordinate meeting, and presentation scheduling and logistics for Collaborative functions in conjunction with Academy meeting services staff; • Support other service lines by contributing expertise in the development and implementation of programs for executive fellowships, Academy forums, and health policy; • Provide support to the functional leaders of the respective programs (Consumer Research, Research & Benchmarking, special projects, and Advisory Services & Health Policies). This would include scheduling conference calls with many participants, setting up meetings and prioritizing meeting requests; • Communicate effectively on status of work activities, ensuring deadlines are met with high quality results and deliverables; • Work with Meeting Services team to coordinate meeting requirements; • Support the departments to coordinate activities among The Academy departments, Forum Directors, Meeting Services, business development, etc.; • Gather and collate documents, support customer interviews, document results of meetings and conference calls; • Support the departments to coordinate activities among The Academy departments, Forum Directors, Meeting Services, business development, etc.; • Gather and collate documents, support customer interviews, document results of meetings and conference calls; • Collaborate with Forum Directors and management staff on distribution of appropriate program content and deliverables; • Collaborate and communicate effectively across The Academy; • Other duties as assigned.

Research Programs • Research and prepare reports and briefs from the Educational Services department and remain current on industry trends and activity; • Distribute and compile quantitative research survey materials; • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Project management capabilities; • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with all organizational levels, including high level executives; • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to develop and present program content; • Time management and organizational skills necessary; • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams. • Ability to create and layout documents, spreadsheets and presentations.

Education and Experience • 2 to 4 years of experience in a related position, healthcare experience preferred; • Master’s degree required. • Relevant experience in program/project coordination or management, or other content development and delivery preferred.

Travel Requirements • Travel involves attendance at selected meetings and site visits. Travel may comprise approximately 20-25% of overall time but a higher percentage in any given week.

Reporting Relationships • Reports to the Executive Director, The Academy Collaboratives and Associate VP, Technology Forums. • Reports to or work closely with the content lead on a Collaborative.
